Mission

CSWiki will contain everything about and related to the popular online first-person shooter Counter-Strike. This wiki aims to collect information that will be useful to people who are new to the game and even those who are familiar the game. This wiki will cover both Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Source.

About Counter-Strike

Counter-Strike is a popular team-based modification of Valve Corporation's first-person shooter Half-Life. The game consists of a team of Counter-Terrorists against a team of Terrorists in rounds of competition won either by completing an objective or completely eliminating the opposing team.

Counter-Strike has been the most widely played online first-person shooter for the past few years. In November 2007 there were over 34,000 Counter-Strike 1.6 servers and 27,000 Counter-Strike: Source servers on the Internet. They make a total of 61,000+ servers!
